What is Tumbleweed?
If you haven’t heard, Tumbleweed is a concert event put on by a hard working team of teens that proudly support the all ages scene. These festivals are free, all ages, outdoor concerts to demonstrate the importance, dedication, and interest of the all ages music scene in Halifax.
The event has been held at Parade Square and now we hold it a Sackville Landing. It lasts from noon till 11pm and features around 20 bands. You can enjoy rock and acoustic, punk, hip-hop, ska, and plenty more. There is something for everyone. We have new acts to local favorites and even imports.
The fan base has grown a fair amount since the first show, from about 200 people, and now to around 400 or more throughout the day. Tumbleweed needs the support of the fans to let people know how much this event means to the scene. Our sponsors and future sponsors appreciate the enthusiasm and we only hope it gets better.
Support from the community in Halifax is vital for the Tumbleweed festivals to run. The Tumbleweed staff is willing to discuss the possibility of sponsorship, in any form, with any business that feels might help us out. We hope that you will consider taking part in the festival, as it is both important the all ages music scene and to the Halifax community.
